I’ve been using the iClear 30 for almost 6 months now.  For some reason I’ve been forgetting to review this damn tank… so lets fix that! Vaporbeast.com originally provided the first iClear 30 for testing purposes so I must give credit where credit is due! Thank you Vaporbeast!

First off the price.  11.99$ isn’t to bad for a clearomizer of this build quality. The replacement heads are currently 3.95$ a piece. If you clean out the heads every once and awhile 3.95$ isn’t too bad.

I like the clean slick look of the iClear 30. The clear plastic with the ml gauge on the side is quite nice. I’ve never liked the metal-encased tanks. You’re not able to see all of your liquid. The two rings at the top and bottom of the plastic tank are ribbed for easier grip. And yes… Another clearomizer that doesn’t allow you to replace the drip tip, but an adjustable mouth piece looks very nice and is quite useful. The atomizer head’s wicking material looks like a wig. I’m not sure if that much wicking material really makes a difference but a valiant effort to say the least.

This tank functions quite well for a clearomizer. I still have to find a clearomizer tank that works flawlessly. You do get a tendency to get dry hits when your liquid is around 1-1.5 ml left. To avoid this you can tilt the mouthpiece away from you making the ecig naturally tilt harder pushing more liquid towards the part of the wicking material closest to the coil. I think that’s a key feature of this tank for preventive maintenance. Or to avoid those dry hits completely just top off your tank to 3.0ml and continue vaping

Fill the tank to the MAX line at 3.0ml (no more since your coil will flood). An additional step I take that most don’t is to drop 1-3 drops of eliquid into the little rubber cap that sits atop the atomizer post, priming the tank which allows me to use it sooner. You can also just lay the tank on its side getting more liquid towards that section of the wicking material nearest the coil. Don’t use the tank right away. You’ll need to let the liquid get into where the coil is. If you burn the wicking material the liquid will never taste right.

Like I mentioned before I haven’t found a clearomizer that works flawlessly yet. I do prefer clearomizer style tanks over anything I’ve tried so far and this seems to be one of the better ones. If Innokin could come up with a dual-coil bottom-fed clearomizer I would use that religiously in a heartbeat. Until then the iClear 30 is the way to go for me.
